Musk vs Zuckerberg: Crazy Meat Challenges in Top Business Battles

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, two of the world’s richest men, recently engaged in a heated argument with a bizarre outcome. On June 20, Musk tweeted a physical challenge to Zuckerberg, and then on the evening of June 21, Zuckerberg responded with a “send me the location” on Instagram. The fight took the form of octagonal cage fighting, one of the most brutal combat sports in the world.

The idea of two top corporate executives resorting to physical violence to settle their differences is surprising. One might think that a fight between these tycoons would involve high-stakes financial transactions or complex power plays. However, the truth of the outcome is often so unassuming - in the same way that founders bring men to their door to hardcore grab official seals, and bike-sharing giants slash through the seats of their rivals’ homes late at night to infiltrate competing companies and douse their rivals’ fortune trees with boiling water, Musk and Zuckerberg, want to duel in person, pitting flesh against flesh.

Musk, 52, is little known in combat sports and wants to rely on a mysterious technique called “walrus.” In contrast, Zuckerberg has been training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and has even won gold and silver medals in recent competitions.

While Musk and Zuckerberg’s date has now been called off, the proposed fight has generated interest from all sides. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Italian cultural officials, and even sportsbooks, joined the fray, offering “odds of -160 and +140 for Zuckerberg and Musk, respectively,” after rationally analyzing the two big men’s ages, physiques, and fighting abilities.
